Vintage Vogue Kitchen
“As the house was built in 1956, and they (the homeowners) loved the character that brought to the house, they were seeking a more classic style with corbels, double-stepped Shaker doors and a feature rangehood box.”
– Alex Baker
The uniqueness of this kitchen renovation shines through its unapologetic classic aesthetic, embracing timeless white tones and a marble tabletop reminiscent of the 1950’s. Notably, within the kitchen space both sides of the peninsulas were optimised for storage, demonstrating a thoughtful utilisation of space. Intricate custom details around the rangehood and peninsula ends were meticulously manufactured in-house, adding a personalised touch to the overall design. A clever space-saving solution was implemented by recessing the fridge and surrounding cabinetry into the wall of the Butler’s Kitchen, effectively creating additional space in the main kitchen area.
The Bin Unit paired with the innovative InnoTech Atira Internal Drawer system found beneath the sink/tabletop stands as a testament to the pivotal role a well-designed two-bin unit plays in a modern kitchen. Beyond mere waste management, this bin unit introduces a heightened level of organisation and efficiency to the heart of the home. Its dual-compartment design allows for the separation of recyclables and general waste, encouraging sustainability in daily kitchen routines.
As always, the Sensys hinges redefine the role of cabinetry – their silent closing mechanism and sleek design not only bring sophistication to cabinet doors but also ensure durability and reliability. With a focus on precision engineering, Sensys hinges contribute to a quieter and more functional kitchen, demonstrating how attention to detail in hardware can elevate both aesthetics and performance.
In the realm of kitchen design, lighting takes center stage, and the Multiwhite LED system emerges as a mood setter – offering a spectrum of adjustable white tones to suit various moods and tasks. The remote-controlled feature adds an element of convenience, allowing the homeowners to effortlessly tailor the ambiance to their personal preferences. The Magic Lighting by Halemeier not only illuminates workspaces for precision in cooking but also contributes to a welcoming atmosphere for gatherings and family activities for the homeowners.
The inclusion of a custom spice rack in the Butler’s entry showcases the designers’ commitment to maximise practicality and convenience for the homeowner. Furthermore, a large custom rangehood box became a standout feature, adding character and visual interest.
