Steps for Romi – supporting Epilepsy Queensland

Travis and his wife, Sarah, found themselves in unfamiliar territory when their 11-month-old daughter, Romi, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in 2023. This tumor, situated on her pituitary gland, inflicted numerous challenges on her young body, including daily seizures and disruptions to crucial bodily functions like metabolism, growth, and blood pressure. 

In response to this daunting diagnosis, Travis’s colleagues at Hettich Australia rallied around the family, determined to provide unwavering support. Thus, Steps for Romi was born as they embarked on a step challenge all the way to Germany. 

Although, their journey transcends physical distance; it’s about easing the burden of this condition for families like Romi’s by supporting Epilepsy Queensland. Hettich has pledged a donation if the team covers 16,428 kilometer’s, equivalent to 23,984,880 steps, within 12 weeks. 

We’ve seen an inspiring response from customers eager to lend their support to our cause. To facilitate contributions, Hettich Australia has set up this dedicated donation page in partnership with Epilepsy Queensland, ensuring every dollar raised directly aids vital research, support, and advocacy efforts.
