Robby and Mat – The Block 2025
KITCHEN

Robby and Mat tied for first place with their sophisticated take on the modern farmhouse kitchen style. The L-shaped kitchen design delivers a highly functional space with generous storage, while the colour palette of natural textures and refined finishes creates a warm and grounded feel.
Kitchen cabinets are finished in Sienna Nordic Oak, with Nordic Oak being used on the Murphy Doors that lead to the Main Bedroom, contrasting perfectly with the white and green tones that the pair have used throughout the space. The look is elevated with new Bronze Rail Pull handles and Dekton Pietra Kode Nebbia surfaces by Cosentino.
Behind the scenes, practicality shines through with new Hettich AvanTech YOU Drawers with Side Illumination, Inner Drawers, Cutlery Trays with Knife Block, Plate Carriers and Foil Compartments, as well as Sensys Obsidian Black for cabinetry doors. Added functionality comes from Flexi LED strip lighting to thick shelving.

the WALK IN WARDROBE

Robby and Mat this week delivered the largest walk-in wardrobe of all five homes, seamlessly flowing from their incredibly luxurious ensuite into an equally impressive, wide and spacious robe. The wardrobe offers abundant storage alongside a dedicated make-up bench space. The judges praised the design, noting, “It feels like the right balance to bedroom and robe.” With generous proportions, thoughtful zoning, and a mix of cabinetry doors, glass-inlay drawers, and open shelving, this walk-in wardrobe achieves the perfect harmony of function and luxury.

the KIDS BEDROOMS

Robby and Mat’s first kids’ bedroom was designed with younger children in mind, bringing great vibrancy and a sense of fun. The room combined a cosy, country feel with practical design, featuring wardrobes fitted with Sensys Obsidian Black hinges conveniently placed near the twin beds. A green wardrobe and plenty of toys added personality and cuteness to the space. The second bedroom took on a different approach. With a beige, neutral palette, the boys kept the design adaptable so it could grow with a child over time.
MUDROOM, PANTRY & LAUNDRY

Robby and Mat’s walk-in pantry strikes the perfect balance of display and storage, combining open shelving with closed cupboards and highlighted by subtle LED strip lighting. Their laundry, discreetly concealed along the corridor behind bi-fold doors, is a clever example of compact yet efficient design. The adjoining mudroom is equally practical, featuring a built-in bench with drawers for shoe storage and open shelving above to keep everyday essentials organised.
