A study in Atmosphere
There are kitchens that serve a purpose and then there are kitchens that create a feeling. This project, brought to life by Spacecraft Joinery, sits firmly in the latter. It is an immersive space where rich materiality, architectural detailing and considered lighting converge to deliver a bold, emotive interior. Wrapped in deep burgundy tones and accented with warm brass, the design draws inspiration from classic European interiors while remaining undeniably contemporary. Every line, junction and finish has been carefully resolved, resulting in a kitchen that feels both refined and deeply personal.
At the heart of the space sits a sculptural island, wrapped in rich joinery and crowned with a striking red Turkish marble called Scalea Rosso Lepanto by Cosentino. The bold veining introduces movement and contrast, elevating the kitchen beyond functionality into artistry. The palette is intentionally restrained yet
impactful, deep cabinetry tones, brushed brass hardware, and layered textures combine to create a sense of depth and cohesion. Curved edges soften the geometry, while fine detailing, such as inlaid brass trims, reinforces the bespoke craftsmanship synonymous with Spacecraft’s work.
Behind the rich aesthetic lies a kitchen designed for seamless everyday use. Integrated appliances, concealed storage, and intuitive layouts ensure the space performs as beautifully as it looks. A standout feature is the integration of Hettich AvanTech YOU drawers with illumination, bringing a new level of sophistication to internal cabinetry. This illumination transforms functional storage into a design feature in its own right, particularly within darker palettes, where light becomes an essential layer of the overall composition.
